I don’t know about you, but I always have a hard time shopping for men. Even for my husband, who I know very well, I struggle to find a great gift. (Thankfully, we aren’t big on gifts, so that lowers the bar tremendously!) But in case you have the same problem I do, I thought you could benefit from a list of tried and true gifts for men. With Valentine’s Day coming up, you might be able to put this list to good use.
14 Valentine’s Gift Ideas for Men
1. Gift Card to Favorite Restaurant
I know gift cards can seem impersonal, but they really are practical. A couple of ideas for good restaurants a man may enjoy are: Texas Road House, Buffalo Wild Wings, Subway, or Red Robin. These are especially great for anyone in college!
2. ENO Double Nest Hammock
Does he like the outdoors? Take him on a camping adventure and use this double nest hammock. You could plan it for the summer or if you live in a warm climate, go this weekend! You could also put together a couple of other camping items, such as a Leatherman Wave Knife, Coleman tripod grill or a pie iron. The pie iron is great for grilled cheese, pizzas, and pies!
3. iCarrier by Trent External Battery Charger
This gadget has been a life-saver for both my husband and me. It allows you to charge your phone or iPad multiple times without having to plug into a wall plug. (For my husband’s point of view, check out his review on his blog.)
4. Coffee Thermos
If your man is a coffee lover and always on the run…this is a great gift! We both use a coffee mug/thermos to take our coffee with us on-the-go.
5. Gym Membership
If your family is seeking to get healthier this year, a gym membership might be some great motivation. Especially if they have a kid’s area, the whole family can go and enjoy working out together. Spring for a little extra and consider getting some personal training sessions to get him started on the right track.
6. Beats
Do you have a music loving husband/boyfriend/brother/dad? Beats are all the rage! (If you tend to work from home, these headphones also serve as good noise reducers!)
7. Grilling Gear
Grilling is like a rite of passage for most families–especially when an open flame’s involved 🙂 Give them a new gadget to use while grilling this spring.
8. Cooking Lessons
Whether he enjoys cooking, wants to learn, or prefers to be out of the kitchen, there are cooking classes for everyone to enjoy. This makes a unique date night. Invite some friends and make it a party.
9. Classic Shaving Kit
Gaining popularity, wet shaving allows for a smooth shave…think barber shop type shaving. If you like the clean shaven look, give wet shaving a try with this shaving kit.
10. Apple TV
We cut cable a long time ago, but having an Apple TV has been awesome for watching NetFlix, home videos, streaming music, and creating a media hub in our living room. You can also connect it to Hulu and movie channels as well!
11. Vitabath
This shower gel smells amazing. Fresh, clean, and aromatic, this smell will fill your whole bathroom and bedroom. I love when my husband uses this soap, and I’d highly recommend this as a gift.
12. Board Games
Risk, Dominion, and Settlers of Catan are great strategy games that you can play with a group of people. They tend to get highly competitive, which makes them that much more enticing. I like this option for a gift, because it allows you more opportunities for interaction and building community with those around you.
13. LeatherCraft Tool Carrier
If your husband is handy, and often uses his skills for helping friends, neighbors, and family, this tool carrier is perfect. It holds a large amount of tools while still being easily transportable to take to any location he needs it.
14. Tackle Box
If your guy finds any opportunity to be out on the water to fish, he might love a new tackle box.
What would you add to the list? Let me know in the comments below. Like I said at the beginning, I’m always in need a new ideas!
