Things I Love for Preschool Girls: Pinkalicious

As a parent, anytime your child falls in love with reading, a little part inside of you does a little happy dance.

I imagine it’s a lot easier to have reading time with toddlers and preschooler, than elementary/middle school kids, but I am just happy that my daughter loves us to read to her.

One of her current favs (and has been for months on end) is this Pinkalicious collection her Nana got her for Christmas.

It has 6 different stories in it…and some of them are “Learn To Read” books, which is a bonus for a Pre-K kiddo.

Things I love about it:
– It capitalizes on any little girls love for Pink, yet remains down to earth.
– Pinkalicious (the main character) has a creative imagination and models the same for our girls.
– The storylines are positive and wholesome — showing character traits such as sharing, generosity, friendship, kindness, and forgiveness.
– There’s a little brother, Peter, and she let’s him join in the fun.
– Shiloh asks to read it ALL.THE.TIME. and always gets sad that we don’t read all 6 in each bedtime setting.

If you are looking for a 3-5 year old birthday gift, holiday gift, or Christmas gift, I would recommend this one because it will keep their attention, get them excited, and keep them reading which we all know is a plus in their development.
