How many of you pull out board games during the evenings instead of a movie or TV? We don’t usually play board games just the two of us, but when we are with people or at people’s homes…it’s always a BLAST. This past week, we played two new games.
SPOUSE-OLOGY
This is a game pretty much like the Newly Wed Game, where the guys have to answer a question–trying to guess how their wife would answer….and vice versa. We played with a couple who had been married a little over a year, us (5 years), and a couple that had been together 10 years! The fact that we were all in similar stages of life was pretty cool and we had some very comic times and moments.
It’s a great way to start some conversations with your spouse — especially when you are surprised by their answer. In addition to being fun, it’s a great reminder that we are always to be taking the class of Spouseology — the study of our spouses!
BANG
The other game we played and had never heard of was Bang. It’s a game that has a feeling of Mafia, where you don’t know who is trying to kill who. It has lots of variety within it and there are also expansion packs that let you add more levels of complexity to your game.
We played with four people the first time we played, but we can see how much more fun and complicated the game would be with 10 players. If you are a fan of Settlers, then I’d consider giving Bang a shot (pun fully intended…).
